In Kostroma, on the eve of Investigator's Day, a chess tournament was held among employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The press service of the Kostroma Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Chess Federation of the Kostroma Region report that on the eve of the Day of the Formation of Investigative Units in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (in common parlance - Investigator's Day, celebrated on April 6), a chess tournament was organized on the basis of children's and youth sports school No. 10 for employees of investigative units , service veterans and their relatives.
The tournament participants consisted of 8 teams of three people each, who played each other in a round-robin system of 7 rounds with a control of 7+5.
As a result, the best chess players were the employees of department No. 3 of the investigative department of the Kostroma Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the best individual result was shown by Nikita Moskvin, investigator of the Investigative Department No. 5 of the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kostroma.
Separately, within the framework of the tournament, competitions for the youngest chess players were also held - among them, Olga Rychikhina and Artemy Krekotin were the best; they received incentive sweet gifts from the Chess Federation of the Kostroma Region and the Investigative Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kostroma Region.
The adult prize-winners and winners were presented with a chess cup, honorary diplomas and certificates by Nikolai Tikhonovetsky, deputy head of the investigative department of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
