The administration of the Kherson region announced a “partial stabilization” of the situation with electricity and water supply in the region. As local authorities explained, there was no water and electricity in Kherson and some regional settlements due to hostilities.
“The entire critical infrastructure of the city has been powered up: 18 pumping stations, 10 sewage pumping stations, 4 hospitals, treatment facilities and 1 boiler house of a thermal power plant,” Telegram channel departments quote from the director of “Khersonoblenergo”.
In a press release from the administration, it is specified that problems with providing the region with water and electricity arose because of a “terror attack” carried out by the Ukrainian side. This refers to the damage to the pylon of power transmission lines on the Berislav-Kakhovka highway, which became known known November 6th.
Earlier, representatives of the regional administration announced the impending attack on the Kherson region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Earlier, local authorities urged residents to evacuate to the left bank of the Dnieper. On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an agreement on the accession of the Kherson region to the Russian Federation – the document was not recognized by Ukraine and the international community, which regards what happened as an annexation of Ukrainian territories.
