In Khabarovsk, after the pioneer ball competition, pupils of kindergarten No. 137 were presented with certificates depicting the coat of arms of Ukraine with ribbons in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. “RIA News” with reference to the education department, it was reported that an investigation is underway in connection with this incident.

According to the agency, an instructor at kindergarten No. 122 found certificate templates on the Internet, printed them out, and brought them to competitions in which several kindergartens participated. According to the education department, each instructor prepared the diplomas independently.

“Of course, such situations are unacceptable. We will conduct conversations and exams with all employees of educational institutions regarding knowledge of Russian symbols,” the department said, clarifying that certificates with Ukrainian symbols have now been confiscated from children for verification.

Telegram channel Astra published a photo of one of the awarded certificates. It bears the signature of the head of kindergarten No. 137, Irina Ivasenko, and the seal of the institution. In a conversation with Astra, the mother of one of the pupils said that the children’s parents paid attention to the Ukrainian symbols on the certificate.

“My child asked: why is it like this on one certificate and not on the other? I replied that this is the flag of another country, the person made a mistake, it happens. We didn’t complain, but I told the teacher about it, and she said, “We’ll sort it out,” the channel quotes her as saying.

The image with the template of the certificates that were issued to the students is missing from the search results in the Yandex search engine and is the seventh in the search results on Google. In particular, such an image is present in thematic collections of the Pinterest service with letter templates. The word “gramota” has identical spelling in Ukrainian and Russian.
