In Kaluga, the reconstruction of the football field of the Torpedo sports school will be completed by summer. This was announced on Tuesday, January 23, at the Kaluga City Government.
“Young pupils of the Kaluga sports school “Torpedo” will be able to start training on the renovated football field in the summer. By this time, it is planned to complete the reconstruction that began in September last year,” said Igor Matveenko, head of the department of physical education, sports and youth policy, at Dmitry Denisov’s planning meeting.
To date, the old artificial turf and lighting masts have been dismantled at the facility. Also, work has been completed to repair the stands, install new lighting masts and prepare the foundation for the football field.
The installation of the artificial grass itself is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024. It was given to Kaluga by the Russian Football Union.
