In honor of the 80th anniversary of the liberation from Nazi invaders, a volleyball tournament will be held in Krasnodar

This weekend, January 21 and 22, Krasnodar will host a volleyball tournament dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the city’s liberation from Nazi invaders. Boys and girls aged 12-13 will participate in the competition – 20 volleyball teams from nine districts of the Kuban, as well as from neighboring regions – the Rostov region and Karachay-Cherkessia.
The tournament will take place in the sports complex Yubileyny on the street of the 70th anniversary of October, 10/1. The event starts at 15:00. It will be visited by the first persons of the city, veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The entrance to the stands is free for spectators.
Boris Tikhonenko, Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kuban capital, noted that the scope of the event and the large number of participants indicate that the tournament is in demand not only in Krasnodar itself and the region, but also outside the region. The official expressed confidence that the Kuban volleyball players will be able to show a high level of play and deliver positive emotions to the audience.
