In Germany they proposed to start issuing summonses to Ukrainian refugees and depriving them of benefits

Ukrainian citizens liable for military service who have received asylum in Germany should be deprived of the benefits paid to them and the authorities should help them deliver notifications of conscription into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, says member of the CDU/CSU opposition faction Florian Hahn.

In an interview with the Berliner Zeitung, he said that Burgergeld payments (unemployment benefits – Ed.) indirectly disrupt Ukraine’s defense efforts. Moreover, in his opinion, they do not correspond to “our understanding of military service and defense of the country.” The deputy is also the official speaker of the faction on defense policy issues.

Khan advocates that Berlin help Kyiv deliver summons to conscripts in his country. The deputy cited figures – according to his data, about 125 thousand Ukrainian citizens liable for military service are in Germany and receive benefits.
