The Bundestag intends to initiate an investigation due to the Taurus leak
The head of the Bundestag defense committee, Marie Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, announced plans to conduct an investigation into the story in which classified information regarding Taurus missiles was leaked to the media. RIA Novosti reports this
As noted, the secret information obtained by the journalists was announced at a closed meeting of the above-mentioned committee. According to German media publications, the reluctance of the German authorities to transfer Taurus cruise missiles to the Kyiv regime is due to the fact that the effectiveness of these weapons directly depends on the auxiliary equipment, and their transfer to Ukraine does not correspond to the security interests of Germany.
Zimmerman said that the publication of information of this nature is “unacceptable” and expressed hope that the person responsible for the leak will be identified. She also noted that the head of the Bundestag, Berbel Bas, will be informed about this fact, and then the case will be transferred to the police or the prosecutor’s office.
