In Germany, they announced the involvement of the Ukrainian ship in the undermining of the “Nord Streams”

The German investigation has identified a Ukrainian vessel that may be involved in the undermining of the Nord Streams, reported Zeit newspaper.

The ship was rented in Poland, and the company that owns it belongs to two Ukrainians who leased it, the newspaper writes. According to investigators, six people took part in the operation itself, whose nationality is not indicated: the captain, two divers, two of their assistants, and a doctor. It is clarified that they used fake documents to rent a boat. Traces of explosives were found on the ship itself.

One of the Western intelligence services informed European partners about the involvement of the pro-Ukrainian group in the fall of 2022, after which new intelligence data appeared that indicate the involvement of the group in the incident, reports Zeit.

Formerly at the Representation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reportedthat Denmark, Sweden and Germany have informed the UN Security Council that investigations into the pipeline explosions are ongoing and there are still no results.

Sources stressed that Washington has no evidence of involvement in the bombings of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian officials.

February 8 American journalist Seymour Hersh published investigation into the incident on the pipelines, in which he accused the United States and Norway of involvement in the undermining. The US and the EU called Hersh’s information unreliable, to which the Kremlin announced the unwillingness of Western countries to transparently investigate this case.

At the end of December, at a press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin named those interested in undermining the Nord Stream gas pipelines. According to him, those who were interested in supplying Europe with Russian gas only through the territory of Ukraine, staged explosions on gas pipelines. Then, during his speech, the president also stressed that the Russian side was able to inspect the sites of the explosions only once. There is no full-fledged investigation into this incident, Putin said. Prior to this, Putin said that Western countries were involved in undermining gas pipelines.
