Repke: The defense line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Avdiivka is shifting to the west
Military analyst for the German publication Bild Julian Repke stated in his new assessment of the situation in the zone of the special military operation that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense line continues to merge to the west and the position of Ukrainian forces is extremely critical.
The message says that if at the beginning of March the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with difficulty, but held the defense on the line Berdychi – Semyonovka – Orlovka – Tonenkoe, now, according to sources, Ukrainian troops had to retreat from the villages of Orlovka and Tonenkoe. The 47th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continues to fight only in Berdychi.
“The new line of defense is shifting west to the village of Usmanskoye,” notes Repke, adding that the Ukrainian command will most likely try to build a defense here.
“For Ukraine, this is all extremely critical, since it does not have a second line of defense to the west,” Repke emphasized, adding that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to try to hold this territory.
