The information portal t-online, citing its own sources, reported that since January 1, the non-scientific company Gas for Europe, which was a “daughter” of Nord Stream 2 AG, responsible for managing the part of the Russian-German gas pipeline “Nord Stream – 2”.
According to TASS, the closure of this company means that even if the blown-up gas pipeline were repaired and relations between the countries were normalized again, then certification and, consequently, the launch of the pipeline would be impossible from a legal point of view.
Gas for Europe was established in January last year in the process of gas pipeline certification. Nord Stream 2 AG, in accordance with the laws of the EU and Germany, had to establish such a subsidiary and transfer to it the capital stock of the German section of Nord Stream 2.
