In the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, during the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a 110 kV line was damaged, 15,700 subscribers were left without electricity, reported representation of the DPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
“The 110 kV line was damaged, the Trudovskaya substation was de-energized – 84 transformer substations were de-energized, 33 boiler houses were stopped. There are 15,700 subscribers without power supply,” the message says.
The Petrovsky waterworks, among other things, turned out to be de-energized, they added there. In total, on January 1, the Ukrainian side fired 397 units of various shells on the territory of the DPR, five districts of Donetsk were under fire, one person was killed, and six more were injured.
In early December, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that Russian troops were continuing to liberate settlements in the DPR. He noted that Mayorsk, Pavlovka, Opytnoe, Andreevka, Belogorovka Yuzhnaya and Kurdyumovka have recently come under Russian control. On December 15, the acting head of the republic, Denis Pushilin, announced that the city of Maryinka in the DPR had been liberated by more than 80%. The Russian military took control of the village of Mayorsk on November 13. The next day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the release of Pavlovka. On the same day, it became known that the village of Opytnoye had been taken under control.
