In Simferopol, a farewell ceremony is being held for the deceased deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov, a Kommersant correspondent reports.
The coffin with the body of the deceased was brought to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral at 11 o’clock. First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko, Acting Governor of the Kherson Region Vladimir Saldo, Head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev and a number of other high-ranking officials arrived to say goodbye to the official.
After the funeral, Kirill Stremousov will be buried in the central cemetery of the Crimean capital.
Earlier, a member of the Federation Council from the Crimea, Sergei Tsekov, proposed to name one of the streets of Simferopol in honor of Mr. Stremousov.
Kirill Stremousov, appointed to the post of deputy head of the Russian administration of the Kherson region in March, died November 9 in an accident. According to preliminary data, his armored Lexus collided with a truck, moving from Kherson towards Melitopol. By decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kirill Stremousov was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.
