Trains in Crimea depart on schedule, traffic on the section of the railway in the Dzhankoy district was resumed in full, said the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov.
“Traffic on the previously damaged section of the railway has been resumed, trains depart and arrive according to the schedule and route,” the governor said.
He also noted that in the near future the commission will begin work to determine the damage to pay compensation to the victims. The fire at the site of the exploded ammunition depot is planned to be extinguished by lunchtime today, August 17.
Recall that yesterday, on August 16, in the Dzhankoy region of Crimea, on the territory of a military unit, blown up an ammunition depot and a fire broke out at a nearby transformer substation. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation called the incident a diversion, as a result of which at least two civilians were injured and railway communication was disrupted. More than 3,000 local residents were evacuated from the disaster zone and a regional emergency regime was introduced. The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case into the incident.
