A person injured as a result of falling debris from a Ukrainian drone in the village of Orlovka near Sevastopol is in intensive care, said city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, who visited the man in the hospital.
A resident of Orlovka was seriously injured on the night of November 6-7. Then debris from the downed UAV fell in the courtyard of one of the houses, the man went outside when he heard sounds from the air defense system, Razvozhaev recalled.
“Pavel Alekseevich is still in the intensive care unit of the First City Hospital, but doctors say that his condition is stable, the worst is over. Ahead lies recovery and, of course, long rehabilitation,” wrote Governor of Sevastopol in his Telegram channel.
The authorities will help the man restore his home and provide support during the rehabilitation period, the head of the city added.
On the night of November 7, Russian air defense systems destroyed nine Ukrainian drones, another eight were intercepted over the Black Sea and Crimea, the Ministry of Defense reported.
Razvozhaev then wrote that when the debris of one of them fell in the village of Andreevka, a fire started in a private house, and in Orlovka a man was injured – he suffered a broken arm and a penetrating wound to the chest and abdomen.
Crimea is regularly attacked by Ukraine. In Crimea and Sevastopol, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat remains in effect indefinitely. Also, from October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response was established on the peninsula and in the city.
