In Crimea, the assets of Akhmetov and Kolomoisky are nationalized

In Crimea, the assets of a number of foreign businessmen and Ukrainian banks will be nationalized, informed Chairman of the State Council of the Republic Vladimir Konstantinov in his Telegram channel.

Nationalization will affect the enterprises of Ukrainian businessmen Rinat Akhmetov and Igor Kolomoisky, ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Ukrainian MP Nestor Shufrich, Lithuanian businessman Kolas Igoris and others.

“From a moral point of view, it is important for us to stop the activities of such founders. This does not mean closing businesses. Previously nationalized enterprises continue to operate, they have no problems,” he wrote.

At these enterprises, the management was replaced, the procedure for their privatization will be carried out later, and the companies will work in the legislative field of Russia, Konstantinov added.

In addition, the property of 12 Ukrainian banks will be nationalized, transmits TASS. In particular, we are talking about the banks “Finance and Credit”, “Forum”, “Ukrsibbank”, “Imeksbank” and others.

On October 18, 2022, the Crimean parliament adopted a law allowing the property of unfriendly foreign states and their citizens to be recognized as the property of the republic. We are talking about land plots and other objects of movable and immovable property that were owned as of February 24, 2022. At the end of October, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, ordered the nationalization of enterprises and individuals associated with the political leadership of Ukraine.

In Ukraine, the law on the forced seizure of property of the Russian Federation and its residents was adopted back in March. The Ukrainian parliament explained that such a law was adopted due to “Russia’s aggressive actions against Ukraine.”
