Today in Cheboksary, in the second reading of the State Council of Chuvashia, a draft budget law was considered and adopted, which reflected the costs of building a ski-roller track at the Winter Sports Center.
The winter sports center will operate on the territory of the Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 2. However, without a ski-roller track, it will not be able to fully train athletes, informs portal of authorities of Chuvashia.
Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the Committee on Financial Markets of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia, made a special contribution to the construction of the facility, speaking at the session of the State Council of Chuvashia. Thanks to him, the new ski-roller track will be almost four kilometers long and will have lighting, as well as about seven cuts, which will cover all types of biathlon and cross-country skiing programs, as well as provide entertainment for competitions and create opportunities for online broadcasts .
Also, not only biathletes, but also triathletes and cyclists will be able to train here. It is planned that the track will be ready in 2024. Athletes have been waiting for this moment for almost 10 years.
MK in Cheboksary said that on December 1, the action “Sports Winter” will be held in Chuvashia.
