In Chita, the ice machine at the “New Year’s soldier” was broken

One of the ice sculptures, which began to appear in Chita on the eve of the new year, managed to suffer, presumably, at the hands of a vandal. As wrote “MK in Chita”the city began to be decorated with sculptures of armed soldiers made of ice.

A few days after the appearance of the sculptures, local residents noticed that at least one of them no longer had enough machine guns – the statue on Lenin Square, from the side of the government building of the Trans-Baikal Territory, was damaged. The press service of the city administration told journalists that they would restore the figure of a soldier.

“Rise” at City Hall declaredthat the final construction of the ice town will be completed by December 23, and they will be able to estimate the amount of installation costs only after its dismantling, already in the new year. It is reported that in total on the central square it is planned to install 12 figures of the military “on a plastic basis” and 12 figures made of ice.

“The topic was chosen in connection with the support of the Transbaikalian wars – participants in the NWO and their families,” the official noted, “is aimed at the patriotic education of young people.”

The city administration also noted that they did not ask the opinion of residents about the theme of New Year’s decorations. As for critical comments on this topic in social networks, these may be virtual actions of foreign agents.

“Comments do not have addressees of the author of the messages,” the mayor’s office explained. “And they can be published by third parties who do not live in the city, region or country.”
