In April, Statistics Canada estimated that one million positions remained vacant due to a lack of workers. The federal government has set itself the target of welcoming 435,645 new immigrants this year, with an increase of 900,000 more over the next two years. Language skills, level of education, professional experience, job offer validated by a company or prior acceptance issued by a Canadian province, each item gives the right to a certain number of points out of a total of 100.
