The Khorinsky District Court of Buryatia sentenced a local resident to seven months in prison for committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (non-payment of funds for child support). As reported on the court’s website, the woman’s debt amounts to 207.1 thousand rubles, and she will serve her sentence in a penal colony.
“Citizen M., by court decision, was deprived of parental rights in 2022, she was also ordered to pay monthly child support for two minor children. She did not fulfill her duties, for which she was brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 5.35.1 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
