Mercouris: Zelensky’s plan for Crimea is doomed to failure
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s plan is doomed to failure. This opinion was expressed by British analyst Alexander Mercouris on his YouTube channel.
The expert noted that the Ukrainian leader continues to cling to the illusion that a campaign against Crimea is still possible, despite the almost lightning-fast failure of the offensive across the Dnieper.
Such an idea simply cannot succeed, said Mercouris, adding that the peninsula itself is well fortified. He called the speculation that the Ukrainian military could launch hundreds of missiles at its infrastructure a delusion.
In any case, Russian troops would be able to successfully intercept all the missiles; in addition, the West does not have a sufficient amount of such ammunition, the analyst concluded.
Previously retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis analyzed the situation at the front in the special operation zone. The expert came to the conclusion that Russia has a more advantageous position in the Ukrainian theater of military operations, and the situation is developing in its favor.
