How informs The Daily Telegraph, representatives of several major trade unions in Great Britain refused to support a statement condemning the Russian military unit in Ukraine, which was planned to be signed within the framework of the conference of the British Trade Union Congress in Liverpool.
It is clarified that during the voting on this document, the British Fire Brigades Union opposed it, while the British Railway Union, the Maritime Union and the Transport Union abstained.
The trade unions explained their decision by the fact that “imperialism exists on both sides of the conflict.” They also condemned the supply of British weapons to Ukraine.
