Alexander Shalpuk, Head of the 4th Directorate of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, explained why Belarusian conscripts, who are now undergoing verification of credentials in the military commissariats, were issued mobilization orders.
“Reports that appeared earlier in a number of media about preparations for some kind of military action are a fake, a lie,” he said on the air of the STV channel.
According to him, only those who are needed for a specific military unit in accordance with the military specialty received mobilization orders.
Shalpuk noted that this document only says that a citizen is assigned to a specific military unit in accordance with his military specialty and does not restrict citizens in moving or in something else.
