In Belarus, they announced joint exercises with PMC “Wagner” near the border with Poland

The units of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus and the fighters of the Wagner PMC will conduct joint participation at the Brestsky training ground. About it reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

“The Armed Forces of Belarus continue joint training with the fighters of the Wagner PMC. Over the course of a week, units of the special operations forces, together with representatives of the company, will work out combat training tasks at the Brestsky training ground,” the statement said.

The Brestsky landfill is located in the Brest region, 13 km from the Brest checkpoint on the border with Poland.

Agreements that PMC fighters and Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin would work in Belarus were reached on the evening of June 24 after Wagner PMC attempted an armed rebellion in Russia. As Prigogine previously stated, the fighters had 200 km to go to Moscow. After negotiations with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Prigozhin decided to stop the movement to the capital and return to the rear camps of PMCs. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, specified that the criminal case initiated against Prigozhin would be terminated, and he himself “would go to Belarus.”

On June 27, Lukashenka said that the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin arrived in Belarus. Then the President explained, in which he sees the benefit of the deployment of PMC “Wagner” in the country. “They will tell you about weapons: which worked well, which did not. And tactics, and weapons, and how to attack, how to defend. It’s priceless. This is what we need to take from the Wagnerites,” Lukashenka clarified.

July 11 Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported about the intention to exchange experience with the divisions of PMC “Wagner” after their arrival in the republic. The next day, July 12, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander of the Internal Troops of Belarus Nikolai Karpenkov allowedthat PMC fighters can be involved in the training of special forces units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
