In Bashkiria, a 23-year-old girl fell from a height of six meters into a cave. She received a head and pelvic injury, the rescue operation lasted seven hours, according to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the republic.
The incident occurred on the evening of June 11 in the Kinderlinskaya (named after the 30th anniversary of the Victory) cave in the Gafury district. The girl was part of a group of several people, which was not registered with the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The girl ended up inside the cave, 2.5 km from the entrance (the length of the cave is about 15 km).
Rescuers gave her first aid on the spot. They carried out four vertical ascents and three descents of different heights to pull the victim out. “I was taken to a hospital in the city of Sterlitamak, the condition of the doctors is assessed as moderate. She has a closed fracture of the pelvic bones, a closed craniocerebral injury, ”the Ministry of Emergency Situations specified (quote from RIA Novosti).
