The day before, the Barnaul City Hall discussed the prospects for the construction of a new administrative building at the Labyrinth stadium.

Let us remind you that the old building for athletes and coaches was declared unsafe in November last year. The decision to build a new building was made by the head of the regional capital, Vyacheslav Frank, according to the press service of the mayor’s office.

Now the old building has already been demolished, said the chairman of the committee on physical culture and sports, Pyotr Kobzarenko. Experts also determined the technical and functional characteristics of the new facility. Thus, the new building will have locker rooms, coaching rooms, storage areas for sports equipment, a medical worker’s office, showers, and toilets.

Design and survey work will begin this year; seven million rubles from the city budget have been allocated for these purposes.

At the meeting, questions were also raised about the preparation of a road map and construction financing. In addition, during the construction period, officials must figure out how training and sporting events will take place at the stadium.

Let us remind you that the Labyrinth sports complex includes a full-size football field, athletics tracks, stands, a climbing wall, and a training complex. Because of this, the stadium is in great demand. More than 80 sports competitions are held here every year.
