The European Union is united in the issue of sanctions against Moscow, not one of the Russians who are blacklisted by the EU will be excluded from them.
This was stated by Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg in an interview with the Wiener Zeitung newspaper.
“I can assure you that the European Union is united on this issue, the sanctions regime will not be changed. And the sanctions against individuals will also be extended without changing the list,” the Austrian Foreign Minister said.
Earlier it was reported that the Hungarian authorities appealed to the European Union with a request to lift sanctions against some major Russian businessmen.
However, later information appeared in the media that Budapest had withdrawn the corresponding application.
