Large-scale cross-country skiing competitions will be held in Apatity for several days. The city will be the center of attraction for the best athletes from all over Russia until April 15 inclusive.
On Tuesday, April 11, the press service of the government of the Murmansk region announced the start of the “Great Ski Races” in Apatity. Competitions will be held at the ski stadium of the sports complex “Athlete”.
So, on April 12, the city will host the All-Russian competition in memory of Vladimir Belyaev. At a distance of 5 kilometers, women will compete for the title of the best, men will have to overcome 10 kilometers.
The next day, April 13, the Russian Ski Championship among juniors will be held on the Athlete track. The girls are waiting for the 30 km freestyle mass start, the awards will take place at 13:30.
Further, on April 15, Apatity will become the site for the Russian Women’s Ski Championship. The participants will compete in the free style mass start at a distance of 50 kilometers. The award ceremony is scheduled for 14:30.
Recall, earlier “MK in Murmansk” toldthat Olympic champion Ustyugov will take part in the ski super marathon in Monchegorsk.
