The Adler District Court of Sochi chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention of a suspect in the case of discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, reports joint press office courts of the Krasnodar Territory.
Marina Melikhova, a former activist of the “citizens of the USSR” (an organization recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), who was recently released after serving her sentence for public calls for extremist activities, became the person involved in the case. By decision of the Adler court, Mrs. Melikhova will remain in custody until 14 August.
The court found that in October 2022 the suspect was brought to administrative responsibility for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, but after that she again began posting illegal content on social networks, so a criminal case was initiated against her for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Until 2022, Marina Melikhova was the founder of Mays-Oil (trade in fuels and lubricants), also headed the Human Development Center “Era of Aquarius” and ran a YouTube channel, in which she talked, among other things, about the activities of the network community “USSR”. In October 2021, the court recognized the Council of Citizens of the USSR of the Kuban District of Krasnodar as an extremist organization, which included Marina Melikhova.
