An interesting experiment has started in Tyumen

Fathers of students may be entrusted with maintaining order in Tyumen schools. The experiment began in one educational institution. If there is an effect, then parents will begin to come to school not after classes, but during them. Will dad be able to, and in general, is this a good thing?

Tyumen School No. 9 has long had a “Council of Reliable Fathers,” which includes particularly responsible male parents. There was enough to do. At first they carried out rigging work, then they began organizing excursions and sports events. But this was not enough for the founding fathers of the Council. Dads wanted to get involved in the educational process and keep order. Now they are on duty during breaks, and teachers can relax and unwind in the staff rooms.

As the school notes, the effect of the male initiative was not long in coming. Students walk in line and do not hide in toilets.

– The team at the school is female. Teachers can’t check what’s going on in men’s restrooms, but fathers can’t easily check. They will also talk like men if someone smokes or gets handsy,” the mother of a 9th grade student told MK.

“Reliable fathers” work on a shift schedule and take part in the child’s life.

– When I have a day off, the child is at school. Comes in the evening. There is little time left for communication. And here at least I see my boyfriend,” a Council activist shares his impressions.

The teachers are happy too. With dad at school, the children are like silk. But school psychologists do not share their optimism.

– Since parents are invited to keep order, there is only one conclusion: teachers are not coping with their responsibilities. They lack authority or the desire to rein in children,” psychologist Evgenia Pustovalova comments on the situation. – In a Soviet school, when they saw the teacher, everyone gathered internally. And if the director was walking down the corridor, they lined up along the walls and politely greeted each other. And now schools have several staff members responsible for order and staff. There is a social teacher, a school psychologist, and a teacher-organizer. Transferring the organization of discipline to parents is the same as asking parents to clean the classroom or chip in on the curtains.

Nevertheless, the Council of Reliable Fathers continues to win the hearts of teachers. They are planning to implement the experiment in other Tyumen schools.
