Since the beginning of the year, Russians are less likely to look for the services of teachers of foreign languages popular for relocation, follows from the Profi data. In addition to Hebrew, interest in learning Georgian (46%) and Serbian (11%) has declined. Meanwhile, the demand for tutoring in Armenian and Turkish increased by 8% and 7% respectively.
In Moscow, the most noticeable drop in demand for the services of tutors in Hebrew (-115%) and Georgian (-93%). Interest in learning the Armenian language decreased by 30%, Serbian – by 26%, Turkish – by 22%. It is noted that residents of the capital can look for tutors in the regions and study online in order to save money.
In December 2022, Profi reported that a sharp increase in demand for learning foreign languages was observed in March and October. In particular, interest in learning Hebrew (+206%), Georgian (+198%), Serbian (+184%), Chinese (+109%), Bulgarian (+70%), Turkish ( +55%) and Armenian (+29%).
