The head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzaev, said that in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the unified state exam (USE) next year can be passed at will. A similar practice, according to the head of the department, was introduced in the first year after the annexation of Crimea to Russia.
“There will be a transitional period, the right to surrender, like Crimea and Sevastopol used to have … voluntarily. We will not limit this either, ”Mr. Muzaev said at an all-Russian meeting with parents of schoolchildren (quoted by TASS). He clarified that graduates of the territories annexed to the Russian Federation next year will have a choice between passing the Unified State Examination and the State Final Examination (GVE). When passing the GVE, applicants in Russian universities will have to pass entrance examinations.
October 11 at Rosobrnadzor declaredthat it is possible to conduct state final certification in the format of the Unified State Examination and the OGE in the regions annexed to Russia only after their transition to Russian educational standards.
The LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions were annexed to Russia following referendums held on September 23–27. Russian President Vladimir Putin September 30 signed agreements on the inclusion of four regions in the country.
