In 2022, the bailiffs of Russia recovered over 1 trillion rubles, said the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Konstantin Chuichenko at the extended board of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. In 2021, the figure was 888 billion rubles.
“Through the line of the Federal Bailiff Service, I would like to note the record amount recovered in 2022 — more than 1 trillion rubles. This is a very good result,” summed up the head of the Ministry of Justice (quote from TASS).
The Federal Bailiff Service (FSPP) transferred more than 412 billion rubles to the consolidated budget of the Russian Federation for 2022. (86 billion rubles more than in 2021).
“At the same time, I would like to draw attention to the frequent problem of disproportion between the debt to be collected and the volume of enforcement actions performed by bailiffs. Sometimes the measures taken are redundant,” said Mr. Chuichenko.
As an example, the minister cited a situation where, with a debt of several thousand rubles, property is seized, the value of which is hundreds of times higher than the amount of the penalty. In this regard, Mr. Chuichenko suggests that the FSSP correct the practice and, if necessary, work out proposals to change the legislation together with the Ministry of Justice.
According to the latest FSSP data, about 8 million Russians are not paying their debts. In 2022, the indicator almost doubled the value of 2021 and became a record over the past 15 years.
