In 2022, athletes of the Khabarovsk Territory won 2615 medals

According to the regional government, over the past 2022, athletes brought 2,615 medals to the treasury of the Khabarovsk Territory, having won in international, all-Russian and interregional competitions. In total, 187 athletes of the region were included in the national teams of the Russian Federation last year.
Thus, six athletes were awarded the titles of masters of sports of international class. The title of Honored Coach of Russia was given to Alexei Mityakov, who trained a whole galaxy of first-rate athletes in orienteering.
In 2022, a lot of events took place in the sports calendar of the region. For example, the Russian weightlifting championship, which was held for the first time in the Khabarovsk Territory. More than 260 athletes from Russia and Belarus took part in it.
More than 700 events will take place in 2023. This is not only regional competitions – it is expected that the region will host the Russian boxing championship, international martial arts games and international judo competitions “In Memory of V.S. Oshchepkov.
