Christmas trees imported to Russia will rise in price by 30%, but a shortage is not expected, Tatyana Erofeeva, an analyst at NTech research company, said in a comment to RIA Novosti.
In recent years, Christmas trees have been imported to Russia from Denmark, Poland, Estonia and other European countries. But their final price is significantly higher than that of domestic Christmas trees.
“Sellers expect that the share of imported Christmas trees in market bazaars will be lower than last year,” Yerofeeva said.
It is reported that artificial Christmas trees will increase in price due to increased logistics costs. The most significant rise in price will affect the premium segment of Christmas trees – up to 50%. In the economy segment, Christmas trees can increase in price by 10-15%.
