IMF downgrades global GDP forecast in 2023

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) lowered its forecast for global economic growth in 2023 to 2.7%, which is 0.2% below the July forecast. According to the organization, the recession expects about a third of the global economy. The report is published on the website IMF.
The fund connects the decline in economic activity with the negative consequences of the military conflict in Ukraine, high energy and food prices, as well as with inflation and an increase in key rates in many countries. From the report of the organization it follows that the economy of the United States, China and the Eurozone is expected to further decline.
The fund predicts the most tangible effects of the recession in 2023: the likelihood of GDP growth slowing below the historical low of 2% is about one in four. The Navy predicts global inflation will peak at 9.5% in 2022 and then slow to 4.1% by 2024.
