“Usually, I don’t have a New Year’s mood. This is my peculiarity, I can’t catch it and I don’t understand where and from where everyone takes it. There is even some social pressure that you should be in a good mood, expect some kind of New Year’s miracle.

Yes, I know that the New Year is coming soon, that this is a wonderful holiday, but at this time I am always in tight timing: I have to finish a lot of things, attend a lot of events. I’m a designer, I have a line of hats and knitwear, and there are a lot of orders for this just before the New Year. But after the New Year, there is a lull in work in fashion, sales sag, everything becomes calm, smooth and even.

So the real New Year’s mood comes to me on December 31 closer to 12 am, when I’m already at the New Year’s party or at the table with my parents. And this New Year mood usually lasts about an hour and a half.

– I won’t say that the mood is super New Year’s, but no one canceled the holidays with their hopes and joyful expectations. I, like many others, am a child at heart, waiting for a gift from Santa Claus, I myself will make gifts to my loved ones. I definitely won’t run around with fireworks, stupidly eat and drink until January 15, but there are a lot of plans for family celebrations.

Traditionally, we will not have performances in early January, each member of the theater will celebrate as he sees fit: at home, on vacation abroad, and so on. The real professional holiday will be later – we have a new film scheduled for release in February.

– Yes, there is a New Year’s mood. And in general, I have been in a festive mood all this year, this is the year of the century of jazz, so we have a holiday almost every day. We gave gala concerts in many cities of Russia, from Sakhalin to Kaliningrad.

It would be nice to have a rest, but before the end of the year we have a few more trips and concerts, this is a performance on the 25th at the club, and on the 26th at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. December 30 we will have a concert in Sochi. But after that there will be no performances. I have not decided yet where I will celebrate the New Year, but definitely not in Sochi.

There remains work on the radio, and here I am glad that Europe Plus will broadcast all the holidays in the regular mode. It will be a kind of oasis of calm and well-being.

– The mood is not festive, as the wife’s parents are sick. A fall in winter is catastrophic for ninety-year-olds. Yes, and with my winding around different parts of the city, there is no feeling of a holiday yet.

Although from a young age at this time of the year he was happy to work as Santa Claus for children, and then for grandchildren. And I always believed in its existence! At corporate parties, I don’t speak at all, although they constantly offer. I can occasionally spend an anniversary free of charge for my closest ones, to whom I am a friend and guest.

This New Year will be so usual and unusual for me to create and support the mood of others: author’s meetings in orphanages, in hospitals, answers to letters that come to the ONF. If I’m lucky, I’ll get out to the village – this will be a holiday!
