Statements about the allegedly serious health problems of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko are nothing more than idle reasoning in instant messengers and telegram channels. This statement was made by the politician himself on Tuesday, May 23.
As the Belarusian leader stated, “if someone thinks that I was going to die, calm down.” He explained that he had an adenovirus, which is usually treated in three days, but due to a busy work schedule, “all this has accumulated.”
After handing out work assignments, Lukashenka urged to connect and start working, because “you will still suffer with me for a very long time,” BelTA informs.
Rumors that Alyaksandr Lukashenka has health problems arose on May 9. After the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow, the politician did not appear at an informal breakfast, to which Russian leader Vladimir Putin invited his foreign guests. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov then urged everyone to focus on official statements, stressing that there were no such reports from Minsk.
Political scientist Aleksey Dzermant recalled that a few years ago, Lukashenko had already dropped out of public space for several days, because cured sore feet.
On May 15, the President of Belarus finally appeared in public – in the central command post of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces.
