The first part of the 2023-2024 season in the Russian Football Championship among Mir-RPL teams is coming to an end. This season already definitely stands out from previous ones in that it carries intrigue and arouses interest among fans. Zenit is no longer a favorite and a hegemon that crushes all its rivals along the way. Sergei Semak’s team has already made several misfires on its way and, before the last round of the first stage of the championship, lost its lead, letting Krasnodar advance.
Dynamo Moscow also entered the fight for the championship, which in the 17th round turned out to be stronger than Rubin. The blue and white settled in 3rd place and moved closer to Zenit, reducing the gap to just 2 points. If Dynamo can show consistent play and often score points, then the blue and white will become clear contenders for gold medals and compete with opponents from St. Petersburg and Krasnodar.
Strengthening Dynamo in the winter transfer window would not hurt, Igor Kolyvanov discussed this.
“Definitely, a central defender. Or even two. In the middle of the field, maybe someone. Ahead, as I understand it, Dynamo has a good choice of players,” said Igor Kolyvanov.
