The period of the first major coaching resignations has begun in Russian football. If “Akhmat” and “Orenburg” parted ways with their mentors in the summer, then the management of the Moscow “Torpedo” patiently waited for changes, which, unfortunately, did not happen for the black and white fans.
On October 3, the patience of the black and white leadership ran out and Josep Clotet was dismissed. The Spanish specialist took over Torpedo in the spring, but was unable to maintain its place in the RPL and was relegated to the First League, where the results did not improve.
Now the management of Torpedo is in search of a head coach capable of pulling the black and whites out of the middle of the standings and starting the fight for a return to the World-RPL. Many experts believed that signing a contract with Igor Kolyvanov would be a good option for Torpedo.
The specialist is coping well with Tekstilshchik, where there are significantly fewer resources and funding, but the coach himself denies rumors about the start of negotiations with the club from Moscow.
“So far there have been no proposals. If there are any, we will discuss them, but for now there is nothing to talk about,” said Igor Kolyvanov.
