The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have completely surrounded the Gaza Strip and reached the sea. Army spokesman Brigadier General Daniel Hagary said this during a briefing. According to him, the Palestinian enclave is now divided into north and south.
The Israeli military department noted that the humanitarian corridor for refugees continues to operate.
“Today, IDF forces from the Golani Infantry Brigade surrounded Gaza City, reached the sea and are holding positions. Gaza City is also surrounded from the south, and in fact there is now a north of the Gaza Strip and a south,” Hagari said.
He stressed that Gazans could still leave the north of the Palestinian enclave and move to the southern part of the region.
