Ida Galich suffered because of a new apartment on the Arbat: “I hate my neighbors”

The TV presenter spoke about buying expensive housing in the historical center of Moscow

TV presenter and millionaire blogger Ida Galich is celebrating a housewarming party. The socialite, it turns out, recently moved into her new home. Yes, not just anywhere, but on the Arbat! She dreamed about this for several years and finally realized her dream. True, as often happens, after buying a home, “pitfalls” were revealed, about which no one warned Ida. She shared the details with MK.

— This year, I went completely crazy about retro: I bought an apartment on the Arbat and left the whole concept of an old Soviet apartment in it. The designer and I even called this project “The Thaw,” Galich told Moskovsky Komsomolets. – There is furniture on legs, the floor remains from those times and the whole interior is untouched. We were looking for furniture in the appropriate style. I have a TV stand with bows, from the seventies, all vintage chandeliers. We found floor lamps from the seventies from diplomats, a panel from 1983 is also quite interesting, vintage.

– But in such apartments there is one minus – incredible audibility. Have you encountered such a problem?

– It’s disgusting! Nobody warned me about this, it’s true. Burn it with fire: I hate all my neighbors. Children are screaming, dogs are barking, a man is stomping from above, and nothing can be done about it.

– Why didn’t you think of additional soundproofing?

– I did not know about such a problem at all – I had never lived in such a house! I lived in a Stalinist building on Leninsky Prospekt, there was also audibility there, but not to such an extent! It’s crazy, but you still can’t do anything. You know, it’s like when you’re just starting to date a guy and you don’t see that he’s a moron yet (laughs). The same is true here in the apartment. But the apartment is located in such a cool area. This is the historical center – I’m so delighted! I love Moscow – it’s the best city on earth. But finally, I don’t go to work, parties and events for one and a half to two hours. Today I arrived here in 10 minutes, for me it’s a pure buzz. Now I am in rose-colored glasses, I have such love with this apartment that I do not notice its shortcomings …
