The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation will study all the circumstances of the fire in the building of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Nicosia. This was reported in the press service of the department on Wednesday, April 26.
Investigators of the TFR will contact the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to find out the circumstances of the incident and obtain information necessary for the investigation.
Taking into account all these data, the Investigative Committee will assess what happened, the department said.
A fire broke out in the building of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Nicosia on the afternoon of April 26. Eyewitnesses said that Molotov cocktails were thrown into the building. People managed to evacuate, there were no casualties.
The head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Yevgeny Primakov, said that Moscow qualifies the arson of the building of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, as a terrorist attack, which may be associated with “Ukrainian activities”.
