Nepomniachtchi lost the first game and won the third. The second and fourth games ended in a draw. The winner was determined in Armageddon (a special game that is held if no winner has been identified). Magnus Carlsen in the match for third place defeated Nodirbek Abdusattorov from Uzbekistan with a score of 3-1.
Ian Nepomniachtchi takes third place in the ranking of chess players, Hikaru Nakamura – sixth, Nodirbek Abdusattorov – 31st.
The rules of Fischer’s chess differ from the usual ones in that the pieces behind the pawns are randomly placed symmetrically to each other. This version of the game was invented by the 11th world champion American Bobby Fischer.
