MAINTENANCE – The director of See Paris again was inspired by her family experience to shoot this film on resilience after the attacks of November 2015.

The author ofaugustine and of Nearby knows that See Paris again was well received by the press last May when it was screened at the 75 Cannes Film Festival in La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs. She speaks with passion and naturalness about this film which touches her closely, since it is inspired by the discussions she had with her brother, a survivor of the Bataclan attack on November 13, 2015.
LE FIGARO. – Why did you choose this title? See Paris again?
Alice WINOCOUR. – My first thought was to realize that Mia, the heroine played by Virginie Efira, is a stranger to her city. After surviving this attack, the film shows her beginning a journey of resilience. She gets to know her.
