Andrey Gurulev, a member of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee, said that there would be no new wave of mobilization in Russia. He made such a statement during an interview with the Transbaikalia TV channel.
He explained this by the fact that the plan for the recruitment of contract servicemen is being fulfilled, and the industry, in turn, in the event of a new wave of mobilization, will not be able to immediately provide a large number of mobilized weapons and uniforms.
“We always have someone trying to rock the situation. Rumors about mobilization for what? In order for the people to walk, grumble. Also? Well, like this. I broke my tongue to say that guys, today we went a different way, ”Gurulev said.
He also added that across the country there is a plan to recruit approximately 420 “contract servicemen”, who should be recruited by the end of the year. This work is ongoing.
On the eve of the Deputy head of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, during a meeting in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, said that from January 1, 2023, a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense was signed by about 280 thousand people. According to him, some of them are those who were in the reserve, while others are volunteers.
