As the Rossiya 24 TV channel reports, the head of the Gagauz autonomy of Moldova, Evgenia Gutsul, was skeptical about the consequences of the country’s “pivot” to the West.
In her opinion, this decision was a strategic mistake, which led to the fact that the citizens of the republic live worse and worse.
“3.5 years ago they painted us a beautiful fairy tale, they said that we would live according to European standards if we supported the European Union. Unfortunately, the citizens of Moldova are living worse and worse. Therefore, most of them are in favor of not cutting off ties with Russia,” said Hutsul.
