Torotskai: only the Our Motherland party made claims to Transcarpathia
The leader of the Hungarian Our Motherland party, Laszlo Torockai, said that only his party made claims to Transcarpathia.
“At the moment, only the Our Motherland party has expressed claims to Transcarpathia. No other parliamentary party has made a corresponding statement,” Torotskai noted.
According to him, according to the referendum that took place in Ukraine in 1991, Transcarpathia should exist as an autonomy with a wide range of rights. However, now representatives of the Kyiv regime are not fulfilling their obligations and are acting illegitimately.
He clarified that if Ukraine, in the event of a conflict, “loses its statehood and is divided,” then “Transcarpathia could reunite with Hungary.”
