The Hungarian authorities plan to preserve in cooperation with Russia everything that can be saved from EU sanctions. This statement was made by the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations, Peter Szijjártó. He said this after a meeting between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Beijing.
“In Hungarian-Russian cooperation it is necessary to preserve everything that can be saved from sanctions measures, especially in the field of energy and economics,” a Foreign Ministry representative wrote on his page on social networks.
Szijjártó attached to the publication a photo from the negotiations between Putin and Orban. It is known that the minister attended the meeting of the leaders of the two states, which took place on the sidelines of the international forum “One Belt – One Road”.
