A report was drawn up against TV presenter Galkin for violating the law on foreign agents

The Golovinsky District Court of Moscow received material regarding TV presenter Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) about violating the legislation on foreign agents, should from the Moscow courts database.

The protocol against Galkin was drawn up under Part 2 of Art. 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure to provide information, the provision of which is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents). For citizens under this article a fine of 30,000 to 50,000 rubles is provided. The material regarding Galkin was received by the court on October 17; the date for its consideration has not yet been set.

The Ministry of Justice included Galkin in the register of individual foreign agents in September 2022. After the start of the special operation, he, his wife Alla Pugacheva and their children left Russia. On October 9, 2023, Galkin announced on social networks that he plans to remain in Israel after the attack on the country by the Palestinian group Hamas. Later he announced the start of a tour and concerts in Cyprus, Poland, Moldova and the UK.

October 12 State Duma instructed the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption to check and hold artists, businessmen and bloggers who return to Russia accountable for discrediting the army and making anti-Russian statements. The check will also be carried out against Galkin and TV presenter Ivan Urgant.
