In the “new political season”, the European Union may revise anti-Russian sanctions, as they have not met the expectations of the Commonwealth.
This was stated by adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary Balazs Orban. He also called the idea of the effectiveness of prohibitive measures against Russia absurd and urged “to look at yourself and look at the whole world.”
He recalled that restrictions can become cost-effective when used by a large player against a small one.
“In this regard, if you look at energy, the situation is exactly the opposite: Russia is an energy giant, and Europe is a dwarf,” the politician explained.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto called European anti-Russian sanctions a failure.
Member of the Bundestag from the faction of the “Left Party” Sarah Wagenknecht stated about the need to lift sanctions against Russia, even if this does not please anyone.
